Safe Pathways to School

The Safe Pathways to School Project, along the westerly side of Bridgeway between Ebbtide Avenue and N. Bridge Boulevard, has been completed by the City's contractor, Maggiora & Ghilotti. The project widened the existing sidewalk from five feet to eight feet and created a pedestrian bulb-out with curb ramps and new storm drain facilities at the corner of Bridgeway and Ebbtide.

The widened sidewalk is the primary student and pedestrian route linking Sausalito with the Bayside Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy in Marin City, as well as linking Marin City with Willow Creek Academy, the New Village School, and the Lycée Français in Sausalito. The project improves safety and accessibility for all pedestrians who travel through the corridor.
