Pink Patches for Breast Cancer Awareness

Post Date:10/06/2017 3:00 p.m.
Sausalito Police Department employees are wearing pink patches for the month of October in support of breast cancer awareness. It is estimated that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

In October 2015, the Pink Patch Project was launched at the Irwindale Police Department. The project's goals are to bring public awareness to breast cancer and support research combating the disease. Today, hundreds of police departments around the country are wearing their own pink patch to show their support.

Pink patches from the Sausalito Police Department are now available for sale, with proceeds going to Zero Breast Cancer of Marin. If you wish to purchase a pink patch from the Sausalito Police Association, please contact Officer Christina Kazarian at ckazarian@sausalito.gov.
