The Role of the Library Board of Trustees

  • Review the administration of Library operations
  • Make recommendations to the City Librarian
  • Establish Library policies
  • Serve as liaison between the Library and the community and between the Library and the City Council

Meetings

  • The five-member Library Board of Trustees meets once per month on the second Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Friends of the Library Bookstore on the upper level of Sausalito City Hall at 420 Litho Street
  • All meetings of the Library Board of Trustees are open to the public
  • Meeting times and agendas may be viewed on the meetings and agendas page for the Library Board of Trustees

Membership

  • Members must be Sausalito residents
  • Members are appointed by the City Council
  • The City Council encourages residents to apply to serve on the Library Board of Trustees; if interested, please fill out an application form
  • The term length is three years, with a maximum of two terms
  • A member may continue to serve after her or his term expires, until a new member is appointed
