The most recent Special Municipal Election was held on November 7, 2017, where the voters of the City of Sausalito elected one member to fill an unexpired term through November 2018 on the City Council. By virtue of the votes cast, Susan Cleveland-Knowles was elected to the City Council.
The next regularly scheduled General Municipal Election will be held November 6, 2018, where the voters of the City of Sausalito will elect two members to the City Council. Registered voters who reside within City limits may run for City Council.

Residents who have moved or changed their name must re-register to be eligible to vote in future elections. Postage-paid, pre-addressed registration forms may be obtained from any post office, city/town hall, public library or fire station in Marin County.
