4th of July Festivities Canceled

In late April 2020, the City of Sausalito made the sad announcement that this year's 4th of July festivities would be canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Typical annual events include a morning parade, an afternoon picnic, and a concert and fireworks in the evening.

Sausalito Parks and Recreation hopes to be able to bring back the annual festivities in July 2021, but will be dependent on public health guidelines if a COVID-19 vaccine has yet to be developed.

For those planning 4th of July gatherings with the members of your social bubble, please wear face coverings and maintain a 6-foot physical distance when interacting with those outside your household. Remember also that all forms of fireworks are illegal in Marin County due to the risk of wildfire.
