The City of Sausalito is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Community Development Director!

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, and bring innovation, and a vibrant, effective, and knowledgeable attitude to your work, you may be the next Sausalito Community Development Director!  The Community Development Director is responsible for shepherding in the current General Plan update and Housing Element submittal and will have the pleasure and responsibility of leading and developing a talented team of planning, permitting, and inspection professionals while overseeing the City’s short- and long-term planning and development activities, building inspections, and code compliance.  As a director, the person in this position also develops and administers departmental policies, procedures, and services; and coordinates assigned activities with other City departments, officials, outside agencies, and the public.  The Community Development Director fosters cooperative working relationships among City departments and with intergovernmental and regulatory agencies and various public and private groups. This is an At-Will position receiving administrative direction from the City Manager.
