Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee Update

The role of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee is to provide the City Council with recommendations on bicycle and pedestrian circulation and congestion management in the community.

Previous meeting. The Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee held a regular meeting on Monday, October 15 in the City Hall Council Chambers. At the meeting, the committee discussed congestion economics, the metrics of congestion, and goals in the Circulation Element of the City's General Plan Update. 

Upcoming meeting. The next meeting of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 19 in the Council Chambers. Meeting topics will include a proposal for a buffered bike lane on Bridgeway between Princess and Richardson streets, pedestrian and bicycle congestion management, bus congestion, the General Plan Update process, the Ferry Landing Landside Visioning project, and the November 28 special meeting of the City's Sustainability Commission on the General Plan Update.

The staff liaisons for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee are Public Works Director Jonathon Goldman and Chief of Police John Rohrbacher. The Council liaison is Vice Mayor Joe Burns. Bjorn Griepenburg serves as the liaison of the Marin County Bicycle Coalition. Any questions about the committee may be directed to jgoldman@sausalito.gov or jrohrbacher@sausalito.gov. All meetings of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee are open to the public, with time available for public comment.
