Post Date:01/18/2019 3:00 PM
The City of Sausalito Sustainability Commission, Bay Cities Refuse Service, and Conservation Corps North Bay sponsored their annual e-waste collection event on Saturday, January 12 in the City Hall parking lot. During the event, 201 local residents dropped off a total of 7,292 lbs. of damaged and obsolete electronics.

Many who dropped off old electronics expressed their gratitude and said that they were repeat participants from prior years. To say "thank you," one local resident brought the collection crew a platter of wraps for lunch.

If you missed this year's e-waste collection event, you can bring your old electronics to the Marin Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 565 Jacoby Street in San Rafael. Hours for residential drop-off are Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility also accepts other types of household hazardous waste, including motor oil, paint, propane cylinders, batteries, and light bulbs.
