Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee Update

The role of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee is to provide the City Council with recommendations on bicycle and pedestrian circulation and congestion management in the community.

Previous meeting. The Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee held a regular meeting on Monday, January 14 in City Hall Council Chambers. At the meeting, the committee received an update on outreach efforts to Bridgeway merchants regarding bike lanes on Bridgeway. The Ferry Landing Landside Visioning Project subcommittee presented recommendations based on revisions to Option 2 as presented to the City Council on October 30, 2018. The Committee also discussed the 2018 Marin County Travel Safety Plan, the General Plan Circulation Element, and short-to-medium term subcommittee projects.

Upcoming meeting. The next meeting of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee will be a special meeting held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 4 in the City Hall Conference Room. Meeting topics will include the Safe Routes to School program, the stairway at the Second Street Garden, committee roles, and subcommittee assignments.
