Historic Preservation Commission Update

The role of the Historic Preservation Commission is to identify, preserve, and protect the historical assets of the City of Sausalito and to educate and engage the public on the importance of preservation.

Previous meeting. At its meeting on Thursday, February 7, the Historic Preservation Commission reviewed an annual report of local preservation activities for submission to the Office of Historic Preservation of the state of California.

Upcoming Meeting. There will be a special meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. The following items are on the agenda:
  • A certificate of appropriateness application for a project to construct a new detached two-car garage at 76 Cazneau Avenue
  • A certificate of appropriateness application for a rehabilitation project at 52 Princess Street
The staff liaison to the Historic Preservation Commission is Senior Planner Calvin Chan. Any questions about the commission may be directed to cchan@sausalito.gov or (415) 289-4129. All meetings are open to the public, with time available for public comment.
