Planning Commission Update

The role of the Planning Commission is to review applications for design review and land use entitlements, as set forth in planning and zoning laws of the City and the state, and perform other such duties as specified in the Sausalito Municipal Code.

Previous meeting. The following actions were taken at the meeting of the Planning Commission on April 3:
  • Upheld the appeal of a Community Development Department determination of the front property line at Lot 5 of Wolfback Estates (99 Wolfback Ridge Road)
  • Continued to May 29 a retroactive design review permit for the expansion of a second floor deck at 27 Central Avenue
  • Approved a tree removal permit to remove one giant yucca tree (Yucca gigantea) at 26 Atwood Avenue
  • Continued to a date uncertain a design review permit for a 1,517-square-foot addition to an existing non-conforming triplex, the conversion of a non-conforming triplex into a duplex, a tree removal permit, and a lot merger at 28 Lower Crescent Avenue

Upcoming meeting. There will be a regular meeting of the Planning Commission in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17. The following item is on the agenda:
  • A design review permit and encroachment agreement to construct a new 642-square-foot detached two-car garage and associated retaining walls at 76 Cazneau Avenue
All Planning Commission meetings are open to the public and are also live streamed and video recorded. The department's public counter in City Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
