City Welcomes New Employees
Although Briana Dolcini has been with the City of Sausalito for almost a year as a Parking Enforcement Officer, she was officially sworn into service with the City on April 30. Briana is a Petaluma native and a graduate of Sonoma State University. Before entering into a career in law enforcement, she worked for two years as a head teacher at a preschool.
Guillermo Mejia is the City's new Maintenance Worker II. He was previously employed by the Town of Corte Madera and has over 18 years of experience with sanitary sewers, flood control, building maintenance, street sweeping, and public works operations. Guillermo is a graduate of Universidad Albert Einstein in San Salvador, El Salvador, and the Inter-American Air Forces Academy in Panama.
Louis Raffa joins the Department of Public Works as a Sewer Maintenance Worker I. Louis has experience doing underground construction work on sewer, water, and gas lines. Before coming to the City of Sausalito, he worked in the private sector as a laborer for a trenchless sewer repair company. His employment experience also includes landscaping and working at a hat store.
Senior Accountant Amena Baporia is the newest member of the Administrative Services Department. Amena joins the City after nine years of experience in the private sector. Her accounting experience includes preparing financial statements, managing bank reconciliations, maintaining a general ledger, and performing audits. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
