Post Date:05/10/2019 10:30 AM
The Business Advisory Committee is a standing subcommittee of the Sausalito City Council. Its nine members are tasked with evaluating the economy of the City of Sausalito, identifying actions to promote the economic health of the business community, and performing other duties as requested by the City Council.

Previous meeting. The Business Advisory Committee met on April 18. At the meeting, Chair Marta Carvalho welcomed Jeanie Schwarz to the committee as a new Chamber-appointed member. The committee reviewed and approved the three-part Economic Development Report that included recommendations for downtown retail, Caledonia Street, and Marinship and voted to share the report with the General Plan Advisory Committee. A joint meeting with the Hospitality Business Development Committee will also be planned in the near future.

Upcoming meeting. The next regular meeting of the Business Advisory Committee will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 8:00 a.m. in the City Hall Conference Room. The committee will discuss their presentation of the three-part Economic Development Report to General Plan Advisory Committee, the scheduling of a joint meeting with the Hospitality Business Development Committee, and the business requirements and business license process for the City of Sausalito.

Any questions about the Business Advisory Committee may be directed to Assistant City Manager/Administrative Services Director Yulia Carter at ycarter@sausalito.gov or Acting Management Analyst Amy Turner at aturner@sausalito.gov. All meetings of the Business Advisory Committee are open to the public, with time available for public comment.
