Planning Commission Update

The role of the Planning Commission is to review applications for design review and land use entitlements, as set forth in planning and zoning laws of the City and the state, and perform other such duties as specified in the Sausalito Municipal Code.

Previous meeting. A hearing of the Planning Commission was held on May 29. The following actions were taken at the hearing:
  • Approved a design review permit and encroachment agreement to construct a new 642-square-foot detached two-car garage and associated retaining walls at 76 Cazneau Avenue
  • Continued to June 26 a discussion of a retroactive design review permit for the expansion of a second floor deck at 27 Central Avenue
  • Reviewed and discussed the Planning Commission's engagement with the General Plan Update process

Upcoming meeting. There will be a regular meeting of the Planning Commission in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12. The following item is on the agenda:
  • A tentative minor subdivision map (tentative parcel map) to create two residential condominium units and one common area parcel at 60/62 Marion Avenue

The department's public counter in City Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
