The City of Sausalito will be hosting its 41st Annual
Chili Cook-off in Robin Sweeny Park on Saturday, September 21. The event features all the chili you can eat for $15, plus live music from
Firewheel. This year's theme is "The 60s." The hours are 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to form a team and participate as a chef. There is no cost to enter the cook-off, but teams will need to make at least fifteen gallons of chili, and cooking must be done on-site. Chefs compete in three contest categories: Judges' Choice, People's Choice, and Best Booth.
Registration to participate as a chef opens at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1. More information and a link to the sign-up tool can be found on the
Chili Cook-off website.
Any questions about the Chili Cook-off may be directed to the City of Sausalito Parks and Recreation Department at (415) 289-4152 or jmyers@sausalito.gov. Online ticket sales will begin on September 1.
