Outreach, MLK, IT, Transportation (OMIT) Committee Update

The Outreach, MLK, IT, Transportation (OMIT) Committee is a standing subcommittee of the Sausalito City Council tasked with reviewing City operations in the areas of outreach, information technology, transportation, and the MLK, Jr. Campus. The membership consists of two representatives from the Sausalito City Council.

Previous meeting. The OMIT Committee met on Tuesday, July 16. At the meeting, the committee reviewed a request for a parklet at Lappert's Fish & Chips during the summer months, a request from Gene Hiller Menswear for an option to extend the term of its lease of the former City Hall site, and a request from the Lycée Français for a lease reduction, return of suites, and a rent freeze at the MLK campus. After requests were heard, the OMIT Committee provided recommendations to the City Council and City staff.

Upcoming meeting. The next meeting of the OMIT Committee will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 4:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room. Topics on the agenda include leases for the Sausalito Yacht Club and the Sausalito Cruising Club. OMIT will also receive updates on City property leases from Management Analyst Amy Turner.
