Heidi Scoble Returns to Sausalito as City Clerk
Heidi Scoble has joined the City of Sausalito staff as the city clerk. Heidi brings a broad range of experience working in local government and is known for her strong land use and planning expertise, excellent customer service, willingness to take on challenges, and high energy.
As Sausalito's city clerk, Heidi will be responsible for all programs, services, and activities of the Office of the City Clerk, including records management, oversight of local elections, maintenance of the municipal code, public records requests, and administering the public hearing process for the City Council.
Heidi has more than 20 years of experience working in the public sector, most recently as the planning and building director for the Town of Ross. This is her third stint with the City of Sausalito, having previously worked as a planning technician, assistant planner, and associate planner in the Community Development Department from 1997 to 1999 and 2008 to 2014.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Heidi holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Environmental Studies from UC Davis and a Master's of Public Administration from San Francisco State University. She is also a certified planner through the American Institute of Certified Planners, has a real estate license, and is a notary public.
Heidi resides in Larkspur and has a teenage daughter. Her long-term ties to Sausalito include having a German-immigrant grandfather who worked as a machinist for the Marinship shipyard during World War II, hearing stories from her parents about watching the Kingston Trio at the Trident in the 1960s, watching tortoise races at Zack's in the 1970s, and participating in youth sailing on Richardson Bay. Heidi is also an active cyclist (road and mountain), kayaker, and yoga practitioner.
