Marin Municipalities to Close City Facilities to the Public as Precaution

Post Date:03/15/2020 9:30 PM
Municipalities in Marin County have been advised by Marin County Health and Human Services to close all City facilities to the public, effective Monday, March 16. The closures are a precaution to slow the spread of COVID-19 by limiting non-essential contact between individuals.

City of Sausalito closures beginning March 16 include City Hall, the Sausalito Library, and all meeting and recreation rooms.

The City of Sausalito will continue to provide essential services. The Sausalito Police Department and Southern Marin Fire will provide police, fire, and paramedic services uninterrupted.

Other essential services offered by the City, such as planning and building permits, will be conducted via telephone, email, or appointment. Specific details are being worked out and will be posted to the homepage of the City website when available.

The Sausalito Library expects to be able to provide delivery and/or curbside pickup of books and other materials to local residents. Details will be posted to the library website.
