Police, Fire, and Paramedic Services Continue Uninterrupted

Post Date:03/20/2020 7:30 PM
The Sausalito Police Department and Southern Marin Fire continue to safeguard Sausalito residents and visitors during the COVID-19 outbreak. All police, fire, and paramedic services continue uninterrupted during the public health order to shelter at home until April 7.

To protect the health of public safety personnel and the community at large, both agencies are taking steps during the COVID-19 outbreak to limit unessential contact between individuals. The fire station at 333 Johnson Street is closed to the public, as is the lobby of the police station at 29 Caledonia Street. A dedicated phone outside the police station is available for reporting either a 9-1-1 emergency or a non-emergency situation.

As always, call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency requiring a response from police, fire, or emergency medical services. Non-emergency calls to the police department should be directed to (415) 289-4170.

Please do not call 9-1-1 for patients who have fevers or minor symptoms. The most appropriate response to such symptoms is to reach out to your medical provider. This will allow the emergency response system to stay fully available for medical emergencies.
