The City Council is in the process of hiring a new City Manager to replace Adam Politzer, who retired in December 2020. As the CEO of the City, the person who becomes our next City Manager will have a huge impact on the future of Sausalito.
The City Council is open to "non-traditional" candidates. This person does not have to have worked in city government before but should have some experience with civic leadership.
You can help ensure that we have the best possible candidates for City Manager by nominating someone for the position and by sharing the job flyer with your personal and career networks.
To nominate someone for the position, please fill out a nomination form on the website of Avery Associates, the search firm working with the City on the recruitment. All nominations will be held confidentially. The City of Sausalito is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
The job flyer for non-traditional candidates includes links to a comprehensive job brochure and an application form. Please consider sharing the link and the image accompanying this article via email, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The deadline for applications is Monday, February 15.
