The Sausalito Police are closely monitoring the encampment and the health and welfare of its inhabitants.
City staff and the City Council are pursuing options for alternative housing for encampment residents or for the relocation of the encampment. Current federal law limits the ability of municipalities to remove homeless encampments from public property.
