Today, Sausalito officials met with representatives from the Bay Conversation and Development Commission (BCDC), the agency responsible for protecting San Francisco Bay and its waterfront, to discuss the agency's role in collaborating with Sausalito to help find appropriate alternate shelter for occupants of the Dunphy Park encampment. BCDC is reviewing the issue and how it might assist.
Sausalito officials also continued discussions with Marin County and met with Marin County Administrator Matthew Hymel, Marin County Department of Health and Human Services Director Benita McLarin, and Marin County District 3 Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters. The county continues to consider what assistance it may be in a position to provide.
Sausalito is committed to exploring all avenues to assist occupants of the encampment to find appropriate alternate housing.
The City will provide updates on the Dunphy Park encampment at the end of each week day.
