The City of Sausalito is applying for grant funding under two state programs designed to protect Californians experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sausalito will apply for funding under the Project Roomkey and the Homekey programs. The City will seek funding in support of its Safe Harbor Program, as the grant monies may be used to pay for marina slips and other programs to assist unhoused individuals.
Sausalito continues to request that the Richardson's Bay Regional Agency (RBRA) adhere to its policy of not removing or destroying occupied vessels during the COVID-19 pandemic. The City continues to offer the RBRA assistance and/or expertise in this area.
Sausalito persists in efforts to work with local and regional governmental agencies and other partners to identify alternate and appropriate shelter and services for the unhoused occupants of the Dunphy Park encampment.
