Post Date:11/10/2023 3:00 PMThe City of Sausalito has learned that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which operates the Bay Model Visitor Center and other facilities on the Sausalito waterfront, has expressed interest in acquiring the neighboring Machine Shop property at 25 Liberty Ship Way.
According to the Office of Congressman Jared Huffman, the Army Corps is currently subject to a February 22, 2024, deadline to submit a formal request to the General Services Administration (GSA) for the federal transfer of the property.
