PG&E to Begin Phase 3 of Electrical Upgrade Project

Post Date:04/12/2024 2:00 PM
In May 2024, PG&E will begin work on the third phase of a project to upgrade power lines and poles, along with other electrical infrastructure, within five work areas in central Sausalito.

The area affected by Phase 3 includes portions of Caledonia Street, Filbert Avenue, and Bonita Street, along with other addresses in the vicinity of City Hall.

Phase 1 involved upgrades to the electrical substation in Sausalito. Phase 2, which began in February and is currently underway, encompasses an area that includes Platt Avenue, Curry Lane, and Toyon Lane.

Residents who live in the area affected by Phase 3 will receive letters and automatic phone calls prior to the start of work. PG&E will also host a Zoom webinar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 to answer questions from residents and provide additional information about the project.

Phases corresponding to work areas four through six are tentatively scheduled to begin in July 2024, September 2024, and January 2025. A corresponding Zoom webinar will be held for each of these phases.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to PG&E's dedicated hotline at 1-800-700-5722 or via email to SausalitoCutoverProject@pge.com.
