Earth Day activities in Southern Marin over the next two weekends include Earth Day Mill Valley, an EV and Ebike Show, and Beautification Day at Golden Gate Village.
Earth Day Mill Valley. This community event for all ages will be held at Mill Valley Community Center from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. Activities and attractions include more than 40 green exhibits from organizations like Sustainable Marin and Marin Clean Energy, a climate action center, live zydeco music, climate Jenga, a wildlife habitat garden, and free ice cream. Please register for a free ticket if you plan to attend.
EV and Ebike Show. Area residents will have an opportunity to see EVs and ebikes, meet owners, and ask questions at the Mill Valley Middle School from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. In addition to checking out the latest models, attendees will learn how to save money by switching to electric, charge at home and on the road, and power up their homes with an EV during a power outage. Please register if you plan to attend this free event.
Beautification Day. The City of Sausalito is lending its support to Beautification Day at Golden Gate Village on Saturday, April 27. There are multiple ways you can help ensure the success of this event sponsored by Performing Stars of Marin and the Tam High School football team.
Donate Plants and Garden Supplies. Garden plants and new and used garden supplies can be brought to Sausalito Parks and Recreation on the lower level of City Hall during the week of April 22. Welcome donations include succulents, garden soil, decorative rocks, planters, paint brushes, and brown stain for fences. Hours at the Parks and Recreation offices are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Volunteer. Volunteers are needed from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on April 27 to support the more than 30 members of the Tam High School football team who will be beautifying yards at Golden Gate Village.
