City Now Enforcing Regulations in Expanded Resident Parking Area C

Post Date:04/19/2024 12:50 PM

The Sausalito Parking Authority has begun enforcing parking regulations within the expanded boundaries of Resident Parking Permit Area C, which now includes portions of San Carlos Avenue, Glen Drive, and the residential streets flanking City Hall.

Area C was expanded by action of the City Council to provide relief to residents who compete for parking with visitors to the Caledonia Street business district.

Under the regulations, vehicles without an Area C permit are only allowed to park between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and for no more than two hours at a time. The cost of a violation is $53.

A two-hour limit is also now being enforced at the City Hall parking lot between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

If you live within Area C and do not currently have a parking permit, information about registering for a permit can be found on the City website. Each residence is entitled to purchase a maximum of four area permits and two guest permits.

If you find the parking rules unclear or have any other questions or concerns about parking in Sausalito, please contact Parking Programs Manager Wayne Kwan at (415) 289-4116 or wkwan@sausalito.gov.
