The City's fiscal year 2024-25 budget, the draft of a Geologic Hazard Report for Sausalito, and risk management are among the topics on the agenda for the regular meeting of the
City Council at 7:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, May 7.
The hybrid-format meeting will be conducted in the City Hall Council Chambers and via Zoom. It will also be
broadcast live on the City website.
The following business items are on the

- Item 5A - Risk Management
For this item, the Council will receive a status update on the City's risk management efforts, as well as efforts to procure substitute insurance coverage following the City's exit from the Bay Cities Joint Power Insurance Authority (BCJPIA). Staff Report
- Item 5B - Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget
The Council will review City Manager Chris Zapata's proposed budget for fiscal year 2024-25, which begins on July 1. Zapata's budget maintains current service levels by offsetting budget gaps created by additional pension and insurance costs with unassigned general fund cash and the City's Section 115 Pension Trust Fund. - Item 5C - Draft Geologic Hazard Report
Miller Pacific Engineering Group will present a draft version of the Geologic Hazard Mapping Study that the firm prepared for the City of Sausalito. Following the presentation, the Council will provide direction to staff on contracting for further geologic services related to City infrastructure, implementation of recommended remedial measures, and development of land-use regulations in high-risk areas. - Item 5D - Economic Development Advisory Committee
The City Council will consider a revision to the municipal code to specifically allow non-residents to serve on the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) but otherwise preserve the City's residency requirements for Council-appointed boards, committees, and commissions. Staff Report
