Post Date:05/03/2024 3:00 PMSausalito's garbage services provider, Bay Cities Refuse, will hold its Spring Cleanup during the week of May 13 to 17. On your usual garbage collection day that week, Bay Cities will collect up to one additional cubic yard of refuse, the equivalent of seven plastic garbage bags.
All material must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. in bags, boxes, or containers. Items that could damage the packing mechanism of the trucks will not be collected.
All material from the extra garbage pickup will be taken to landfill. Reusable items should be donated to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Hazardous materials such as computer monitors or printers, paint, motor oil, household batteries, and microwaves can be taken to the Marin Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 565 Jacoby Street in San Rafael.
