Help Beautify Sausalito by Participating in a Downtown Cleanup on June 3

Post Date:05/24/2024 12:45 PM
The summer tourist season will soon begin, bringing much needed sales tax revenue to City coffers. You can help downtown Sausalito make a good first impression by participating in a community clean-up from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3.

Project Sausalito Shine is a collaboration of the City's Economic Development Advisory Committee with community groups, residents, local businesses, and the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce.

The morning event will focus on eyesores like weeds, stickers and graffiti, discarded food containers and other trash, filthy and worn refuse containers, and grungy sidewalks.

Participating volunteers will work in teams under the guidance of City staff. The City is also providing trash bags, rakes, and other tools. Individual volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, clippers, and weeding implements.

Bay Cities Refuse will provide assistance in the form of power washing and new signs for garbage and recycling containers.

If you think you might be interested in being a part of Project Sausalito Shine, please send email to Hank Baker of the Economic Development Advisory Committee at hank@bakerpropertygroup.com.

Volunteers will gather at Sausalito Center for the Arts at 8:30 a.m. on June 3 for coffee and team assignments.
