A complex, five-month project to repave the eastern portion of Edwards Avenue is now complete.

The project was awarded by the City Council to Maggiora & Ghilotti, Inc. on January 16, 2024. Construction began on February 22.

Work began with an upgrade to the sanitary sewer main and laterals, followed by the replacement of the existing roadway with asphalt concrete in the upper section and with reinforced concrete in the steep lower portion.

In an unanticipated development, the water main and service laterals belonging to the Marin Municipal Water District also needed to be replaced.
