Notice of Public Hearing Regarding Proposed Vacation of Tracy Way

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 3, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, a public hearing pursuant to Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law (Streets and Highways Code section 8300 et seq.) will be held by the Sausalito City Council at Sausalito City Hall 420 Litho Street, Sausalito, CA 94965, to consider the adoption of a Resolution declaring the vacation of approximately 5,400 SF (270 feet long by 20 feet wide) of road right of way known as Tracy Way (“Easement”), is unnecessary for present or prospective public use.

At the hearing, the Sausalito City Council will consider evidence presented by interested persons for and against the proposed vacation. After considering all relevant evidence, the City Council will determine whether the Easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use.

Any person may attend the hearing, make inquiries or present evidence or testimony regarding the necessity of the Easement for public use.

A map indicating the location of the Easement is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office located at Sausalito City Hall Administration Office, 420 Litho Street, Sausalito, CA 94965 during normal business hours.

Please note that after the City Council issues its decision, any subsequent legal challenge to such decision may be limited to the issues raised at the public hearing.
