In a
special presentation to the City Council on September 17, Senior Civil Engineer Andrew Davidson provided an overview of recently completed capital improvements to the one-way section of
Edwards Avenue at Sausalito's southern border, formerly one of the city's most distressed roadways.
The $1.6 million project included the demolition and removal of the existing concrete and asphalt pavement between Alexander Avenue and Marion Avenue, replacement of the clay sewer main with durable plastic piping, and repaving the steep section of the street with reinforced concrete and the flatter section with asphalt.
