The Department of Public Works reports that significant progress has been made to date on improvements to the plaza, pedestrian, and queuing areas at the Sausalito Ferry Landing. Construction is being performed in
three phases:
- Phase 1 construction adjacent to Gabrielson Park is near completion by the City's contractor, but fencing will remain in place while additional work is performed on the bicycle queuing area.
- Phase 2 construction adjacent to the water and the ferry dock is almost finished, and fencing will be removed soon.
- Phase 3 on Tracy Way and adjacent to Anchor Street is expected to begin in late November when Phase 1 is finished.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2025, weather permitting. A number of pedestrian detours will be in place while Phase 3 is underway.
