Six City Employees Receive Awards for Outstanding Performance

Six City of Sausalito employees were acknowledged for their outstanding performance at an awards ceremony during the annual staff holiday party on Thursday, December 12.


Debbie Pagliaro Exceptional Customer Service Award

Adam Blair (Assistant Planner)

Adam Blair's commitment to outstanding customer service is on display every Tuesday and Wednesday at the Community Development counter in City Hall. Whether guiding residents through complex projects or soothing irate contractors, Adam is unfailingly helpful and good natured.


Extreme Act of Kindness Award
John Busch (Maintenance Worker II)

John Busch of the Public Works Department received this award for his many acts of kindness, large and small, during 2024. John always brings a smile and a friendly word to his interactions with City staff and members of the public.


Herb Weiner Getting the Job Done Award
Wayne Kwan (Parking Programs Manager)

Since coming on board with the police department in October 2023, Wayne Kwan has brought professionalism and innovation to the underappreciated task of parking management in Sausalito. Wayne's accomplishments include expanding resident parking zones, improving signage, and reducing the misuse of parking passes.

Kris MacKenzie (Library Assistant II)
Peter Stonebraker (Senior Accounting Technician)

With this annual award, City Manager Chris Zapata acknowledges employees whose consistently outstanding performance sets a standard for others to follow.
  • Ali Iqbal excelled in his oversight of urgent and high priority public works projects for the City, including deftly managing a series of upgrades at the Old City Hall Building in downtown Sausalito.
  • Kris MacKenzie successfully mastered a wide variety of new and expanded job responsibilities at the Sausalito Library in preparation for organizational changes in 2025.
  • Peter Stonebraker of the Finance Department had information technology added to his responsibilities and gently shepherded to completion such key initiatives as the deployment of a new cloud-based phone system.
