Sausalito's Public Works Department will soon begin a project to upgrade the storm drainage system on Spencer Avenue between Sweet Briar Lane and San Carlos Avenue. Work is expected to get underway on February 3 and should be completed within two weeks.
The project will add additional capacity to a drainage system that has, at times, been overtaxed by heavy rain. Currently, the street relies on a single drainage inlet located at the lower end of Spencer Avenue.
