Police Chaplain Paul Mowry a Comfort to Officers, Community Members

Post Date:02/14/2025 11:25 AM
Pastor Paul Mowry of the Sausalito Presbyterian Church has been an essential member of the Sausalito Police Department for more than ten years. In his role as chaplain, Paul provides emotional and spiritual support during difficult times for law enforcement personnel, their families, and members of the broader community.

Paul's personal philosophy is captured in the words of the Swiss philosopher Henri-Frédéric Amiel: "Life is short and we haven't much time to gladden the hearts of those who journey the way with us. So be swift to love and make haste to be kind."

Police officers look to Paul to help them work through personal challenges and process the traumatic experiences that are inevitable for people in law enforcement. Officers also rely on Paul to provide comfort and reassurance to community members facing tragic circumstances.

Says Police Chief Stacie Gregory, "The Sausalito Police Department is thrilled to have Paul as our chaplain. His compassion, dedication, and unwavering support make a huge difference in the lives of those he serves."
