At a special meeting on Tuesday, May 27, the City Council adopted the Amended Sixth-Cycle Housing Element. 

Under State law, every city and county in California is required to update its Housing Element to address specific requirements and submit the element to the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for their review and certification. The City of Sausalito began the process of drafting an Amended Housing Element in 2024. The City's website has more information about Sausalito's 2023-31 Housing Element.
