Post Date:07/03/2025 2:53 PM

Sausalito's Fourth of July festivities are almost here! Gather your sunscreen for the parade, cooler for the picnic, and beach chair and blankets for the evening fireworks. Also note the City office and road closures below:

  • Sausalito City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday this year.
  • The Library will remain open Thursday, July 3 and closed Friday, July 4.

Please also be aware that on Friday, July 4 between 9:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., the following streets will be closed to thru traffic for the parade:

  • Main St. and 2nd St. up Bridgeway, all of Caledonia St. up to Bridgeway and Napa St.
Below is a reminder of the lineup of events on the Fourth of July:
  • 10:00 a.m - Parade starts in Old Town.
  • 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Picnic at Dunphy Park.
  • 6:30 p.m. - Evening party at Gabrielson Park.
  • 9:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks show at Gabrielson Park (Tables are sold out).

A quick note from the Southern Marin Fire District: Leave fireworks to the experts — improper use can cause serious injury and spark dangerous wildfires. Fireworks are illegal in Marin County and especially hazardous during peak fire season. Protect your community and celebrate responsibly.
