At their regular meeting on June 17, the City Council approved a balanced budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year featuring $31,674,497 for operations and $17,755,574 for capital improvements.
City Manager Chris Zapata said, "This budget is absolutely the best budget that I have worked on in my four years here. It creates an environment that continues stabilizing our workforce. It provides for continued emergency and pension strategies that are funded at $9 million and $4 million. It invests over $17 million in our capital projects that are much needed in the City."
