The Marin County Elections Department released updated vote counts this afternoon for Sausalito’s Measures J and K. Both measures are on their way to passing. Ballot counting will continue through November, with the next scheduled update set for Wednesday, November 12.

The Marin County Elections Department will continue to post updated vote totals according to the following schedule:

- Wednesday, November 12 - no later than 5:00 p.m.
- Friday, November 14 - no later than 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 19 - no later than 5:00 p.m.
Additional update dates will be posted as needed. The
official final election results are scheduled for release on
Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
About the Measures:
- Measure J adjusts zoning in certain commercial and mixed-use districts, allowing for limited residential development to help Sausalito comply with the state’s Housing Element law, which requires planning for 724 new housing units.
- Measure K focuses on Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) campus site, proposing up to 50 affordable senior housing units on a portion of city-owned land while maintaining school, recreation, and parking uses on the rest of the property.
