We kicked off the holiday season downtown on December 3 with a festive tree-lighting ceremony at Viña del Mar Park featuring a community sing-along and a visit from Santa Claus, who arrived in style in a blue convertible. Public officials and community members brought cheer and holiday spirit.

Looking for a way to give back? Southern Marin Fire District (SMFD) invites you to support the 2025 Performing Stars of Marin City Children and Youth Holiday Toy Drive. Performing Stars, a Marin nonprofit founded in 1990, empowers low-income and at-risk youth through arts, music, theater, and enrichment programs that build confidence and inspire possibility. Donate toys until Wednesday, December 18 to help brighten the holidays for local children and families.
