Sausalito Welcomes Two Police Officers

Post Date:01/16/2026

Officer Dustin Leandro and Officer William Brice have recently joined the Sausalito Police Department. Get to know your new officers:

Dustin Leandro grew up in Santa Rosa and moved to San Diego in his early 20s, where he spent about five years. After living in San Diego, Leandro moved back to Santa Rosa and worked at Bank of the West. Not long after moving back, Leandro met his wife and had a baby boy. Before joining the Sausalito Police Department, Leandro worked in fraud investigation for Redwood Credit Union, where his passion for investigation and law enforcement developed. Officer Leandro is grateful to have a career that will make his son proud when he is older and that helps the community.

William E. Brice was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and moved to San Mateo when he was 12 years old, where he learned the value of hard work, adaptability, and service to the community. In 2013, Brice joined the United States Army, serving honorably on active duty for over a decade. During his military career, he completed deployments in both the Middle East and Europe, gaining valuable experience in teamwork, and operating in high-pressure environments. After transitioning from active duty, Brice joined United Airlines, where he pursued his passion for aircraft while working around major jets. In his free time, Officer Brice enjoys mountain biking, playing soccer, overlanding with his truck, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter. Driven by a strong sense of duty, integrity, and community service, Officer Brice seeks to continue serving the public through a career in law enforcement.
