After four months of travel from California, Engine 7 officially arrived in port on Friday, January 13, in Viña del Mar, Chile, where it has been rebranded as Engine 5.
The donated Rosenbauer Fire Engine, which served Mill Valley as Engine 7 from 2013 to 2024, will begin a new chapter protecting the residents of Viña del Mar, a coastal city whose terrain and wildfire risks closely mirror those of Southern Marin.
The engine is now proudly serving the 5th Company, and we are pleased to share that it has already been placed into active service. Seeing Engine 7 begin its next chapter in Viña del Mar is a powerful reminder that service, partnership, and the firefighting community know no borders.
