Blaustein, 37, was elected to the Sausalito City Council in November 2020 and became the city’s youngest-ever mayor in 2023 at age 35.
Before entering local politics, she founded Allied for Startups, a Brussels-based organization supporting tech startup policy in more than 30 countries, and has served at every level of government — from the Obama White House and the United Nations to Mayor Gavin Newsom's communications office.
She currently serves as a commissioner for the Transportation Authority of Marin and as a board member of the San Francisco Jewish Federation.
"My greatest professional accomplishment is becoming mayor of Sausalito," said Blaustein. "But the title alone doesn't capture what it took to get there, resilience and genuine commitment matter more than any single moment of recognition."
