The City of Sausalito is pleased to welcome City Clerk Deirdre Coyne. Coyne served as Sausalito's deputy city clerk from October 2025 to August 2026.

Coyne holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and philosophy from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Arts in philosophy from San Francisco State University. Previously, she worked as a financial clerk and consultant for construction and development firms and as a philosophy instructor at San Francisco State University. She brings experience in financial and records management, research, and administration.

"I'm honored to continue serving the Sausalito community in this new role," said Coyne. "I look forward to supporting the City Council and residents with the same transparency and dedication that first drew me to public service in Sausalito."

As city clerk, Coyne's responsibilities include supporting the City Council and the City's boards and commissions, overseeing local elections, responding to public records requests, and maintaining the municipal code.

Coyne succeeds former City Clerk Walfred Solorzano, who was named interim city clerk for the City of Lodi on July 28, 2026.
