Technical and Administrative Assistance for the Post-Disaster Recovery Process for the Sausalito Blvd/Crescent Ave Mudslide of February 14, 2019

On February 14th, 2019 a mudflow occurred in Sausalito, California. The mudflow originated above Sausalito Blvd. on National Park Service Property. The mudflow crossed the Sausalito Blvd., carrying with it a duplex at 406/408 Sausalito Boulevard. With its debris, the mudflow continued down the slope, destroying a house at 57 Crescent Avenue. There was also significant damage to a house at 64 Crescent Avenue and duplexes at 428/430, 412/414, and 402/404 Sausalito Boulevard, including loss of decks, entries, and carports, and resulting in the loss of seven cars. Public and private utility infrastructure, including storm drains and sewer lines were also damaged in the mudflow along with sections of Crescent Avenue and Sausalito Boulevard. The debris field is known to contain hazardous materials, which may include asbestos, lead, mercury, PCBs, petroleum, oil, mold, and other hazardous material.
The City of Sausalito (“City”) invites qualified firms (“Proposers”) to submit proposals for the Technical and Administrative Assistance for the Post‐Disaster Recovery Process of the Sausalito Blvd./Crescent Ave. Mud Flow of February 14, 2019 (“Project”), which may lead to award of a professional services agreement (“Agreement”), using the form attached as Attachment 6, Professional Services Agreement. If the City decides to award the Agreement to a Proposer, it will be a fixed price agreement.
