The City of Sausalito (“City”) is requesting interested firms to submit a proposal to enhance the current marketing program and digital platform for businesses in Sausalito.
The Marketing and Digital Platform Services program is envisioned as an initiative that would include enhancements to the current “Destination Sausalito” digital marketing platform. It would also include expanded marketing programs and the use of events in Sausalito to attract High Value, Low Impact visitors such as corporate retreats and meetings to Sausalito during times of low activity (mid-week and off-season months) in the City. This would stimulate additional activity in the Downtown, Hotel and Restaurant sectors and stimulate the success of local businesses.
Since the City has an existing Destination Sausalito digital platform program, the intent of this RFP is to obtain proposals that would a) maintain the current platform, b) enhance the Destination Sausalito platform and c) provide new programs and events that would address the desire to improve business in low activity times of the week and year as described above. It is the City’s desire to describe this opportunity in general terms and leave specifics up to each proposer to encourage creativity and the most compelling responses to the RFP.
This Request for Proposal (RFP) provides information on the existing Destination Sausalito digital platform and marketing program, the required scope of services, the proposer selection process, and the minimum information that must be included in the RFP Response. Failure to submit information in accordance with this RFP's requirements and procedures may be cause for disqualification.
The City of Sausalito (“City”) invites qualified firms (“Proposers”) to submit proposals for Marketing and Digital Platform Services (“Project”), which may lead to award of a professional services agreement (“Agreement”), using the form attached as Attachment 3, Professional Services Agreement. If the City decides to award the Agreement to a Proposer, it will be a fixed price agreement.

Pre-proposal questions will be accepted through Tuesday, October 1, 2019. All questions received will be answered and returned electronically to all interested vendors by Friday, October 4, 2019. We encourage all prospective consultants interested in submitting proposals to email their intention to propose to Ms. Carter to ensure that they get all important proposal-based information as it is released.
