    Councilmember and U.S. Navy Reserve Captain Jill Hoffman has been called to active duty with the United States Navy, effective September 27, 2019. The deployment will require her to temporarily vacate her seat on the City Council.

    At its meeting on September 10, the City Council unanimously approved a new three-year contract with Local 1021 of the Service Employees International Union, which represents 29 full-time employees who work for the City of Sausalito.

    Oonagh Kavanagh passed away in Fethard-on-Sea, Ireland, on August 29 after an extended illness. Perhaps best known in Sausalito for her tenure as CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, Oonagh was renowned for her charm, contagious spirit, and quick wit.
