About Planning Permits

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and out of concern for the safety of staff as well as the public, as of Monday, March 16, 2020 City Hall is closed to the public and the Community Development Department is shifting planning and building services to virtual appointments/submittals only. Furthermore, in order to continue to provide essential services while the shelter at home order from Marin Health and Human Services is in effect, the Planning Division will be prioritizing acceptance and issuance of permit applications that qualify as “Essential Infrastructure” and “Essential Businesses”  in the March 16, 2020 Order of Marin County Health Officer or those projects that qualify as or for life, safety, sanitation, emergency or essential operations/functions. Other applications will be accepted and permits issued on a case-by-case basis with consultation with the Community Development Director.
